The project
I transformed Teula’s two-page Canva website into a more immersive, structured and search-ready experience while preserving her voice and creative identity.
What needed to change
Teula’s original Canva website contained the foundations of her story, book and offerings, but the limited two-page format made the content difficult to organise.
The Canva-hosted setup also limited control over search metadata, indexing and the way Teula’s domain redirected visitors to the website.
The format restricted responsive behaviour, navigation and the ability to guide visitors through a more deliberate journey.
How I approached it
I redesigned and rebuilt the website using Teula’s existing content as the foundation.
I reworked the page flow, hierarchy, visual direction and calls to action, while refining selected copy where a more direct first-person voice strengthened the connection with visitors.
I also handled responsive development, animation, contact-form integration, deployment, domain configuration and the technical setup required for Google Search indexing.
What I delivered
- A responsive single-page website presenting Teula’s story, book, offerings, workshops, interviews and contact options.
- A stronger opening section and a clearer progression through the content.
- Custom styling with a nature-led palette, expressive typography and light and dark mode support.
- Subtle animation and interaction using Framer Motion.
- A private contact form powered by Resend.
- Search metadata, indexing support and a cleaner domain setup without reliance on the previous Canva redirect.
The finished experience

Key decisions
A journey rather than a stack of sections
The page order was reworked so visitors move naturally from Teula’s introduction and story into her book, offerings and ways to connect.
Nature-led, but content-first
Colour, typography and imagery reflect the natural and ceremonial qualities of Teula’s work without overpowering the writing.
A stronger foundation for search
Moving away from the Canva-hosted setup provided greater control over metadata, indexing, domain configuration and page structure, giving Google a clearer understanding of the website.
Simple technology for a focused website
Because the content changes infrequently, the site remains in the codebase rather than introducing a CMS that would add more maintenance than value.
The result
- A website that feels more complete and expressive while remaining recognisably Teula’s.
- A clearer relationship between her story, book and offerings.
- A more intentional visitor journey with a direct way to make contact.
- Greater control over the website’s domain, metadata and Google Search indexing.
In their words
“I am happy with it and really like the couple of extras. I really appreciate all the effort and creativity you have put into this website, and your support as a whole.”
